A heavily saturated, velvety purple-black with raised corduroy texture on the inside of the petals. At times it can have a black eye and a very slight double edge of black and silver. Starless Night holds up well in full sun.

I have this crossed into Party Dance and have produced cultivars of exquisite heavy substance in many colors ranging from red through nearly black with chartreuse-green-gold edges. Easily fertile both ways.
